My prior municipal experience as a two term common council person in Danbury Connecticut gives me the experience needed to serve in this position. It is important that government provide a sense of comfort to our residents. The majority of people who approach the board do so with a sense of intimidation. It is important to me that people feel at ease when appearing and not defensive. I will make sure that I am accountable for my actions. Far too often we say what we are going to do if elected but that changes once in office. The single most important aspect of my life is my word. I won’t break my word period.
I am proud to be a part of the 2019 Republican ticket. The town needs to have a clear cut avenue regarding out of control spending. When we accept 4-6% budget increases as acceptable we have a major problem. The very near future is not all roses regarding taxation with 4 corners, new school, possible police station and library. The Republican party must address over expenditures. The Republican party will provide fiscal management that is sensible and not rubber stamp every increase. Questions need to be asked and difficult decisions addressed regarding downsizing certain areas of the town. The Democratic part will never reduce expenditures but they will find a way to increase spending. The time is now to take control of the town show our constituency a zero or 1.5% increase is in fact doable. A change is needed without question.
